Lower Dolpo Trek

Lower Dolpa reserves the last relic of traditional Tibetan culture on the western part of Nepal. It is believed that it was the hidden valley created by the great Rinpoche to protect Buddhist devotees from troubled times. Furthermore, this is also one of the few areas where the pre- Buddhist Bon Po religion is still practiced. The trek is filled with the phenomenal high passes as Numa La and Baga La along with the site of yak caravans maintaining the salt trade with Tibet. The refreshing view of Phoksundolake gives out the best temperament releasing out the fatigue of challenging route.
