Next early morning hike to beautiful spot on top Poon Hill the highest point of the adventure at 3,210 m rewards you with stunning sunrise over mind-blowing panorama of Himalaya from Dhaulagiri-Annapurna to Manaslu range with majestic Machhapuchare Himal ‘Fish Tail’.

Enjoying glamorous views and visiting cultural villages of Ghorepani inhabited by Poon of Magar the hill people of western Nepal, and then from here walk leads to an alternative route past beautiful forest along with mountain views to reach a large Gurung village at Ghandruk, another mountain tribe the Gurung people practice Buddhist religion with age-old heritage custom.

From Ghandruk a short walk where drive takes you to lovely city in Pokhara by its serene Phewa Lake on completing fabulous walks on Poon Hill Himalaya Panorama trekking with great service of Himalaya Lungta Treks and Expeditions.

Itinerary

Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu and transfer to hotel.

On arrival at Kathmandu international airport received by Himalayan Lungta staff and guide for transfer to your hotel in the heart of Kathmandu city around Thamel the exciting place of the city, on checking your rooms meet at the lobby for group briefing regarding treks and other necessary information.

Morning depart from the hotel where our city guide takes you around great places of interest with tour of world heritage sites, with time in the afternoon preparation for the trek.

Morning as per group size either in coach or tourist bus and car to reach Nepal Mid West at scenic city of Pokhara, as journey takes you through rural farm villages and towns to reach at Pokhara by its calm Phewa Lake where hotels are located.

Start the short Poon Hill trekking adventure with short drive towards outskirt of Pokhara valley at Nayapul and Bhirethati village, where walk begins heading uphill past farm villages and beautiful water falls to reach at Hille and Tirkhedhunga for overnight stop.

Morning with steep climb to reach Ulleri village with views of Annapurna South and top of Machhapuchare Himal ‘Fish Tail’, as walk leads past Ulleri and Bhanthati village, where walk leads into cool alpine forest covered with tall rhododendron-magnolia-oaks-pines and fir trees as trek proceeds slowly to Ghorepani village for overnight stop.

Ghorepani populated by Poon people of Magar tribe located beneath Poon Hill viewpoint.         

Rising early morning with cool mountain air, as hike takes to scenic view-point at Poon Hill located above 3,210 m high facing stunning sunrise views over chain of Himalayan peaks from Dhaulagiri, Mustang Himal, Nilgiri’s, Annapurna, Machhapuchare peak with Lamjung and Manaslu Himal.

After a scenic and dramatic moment descend to Ghorepani having breakfast continue walk uphill to Deurali within forested area and downhill to another Bhanthati village.

After a refreshing stop downhill to a stream and short climb up to reach at Tadapani for overnight located in the midst of a forest.

Today a short day morning walk along with views of mountain within lovely tree lines and then downhill to reach an open area to reach a large village of Gurung people village at Ghandruk for overnight stop as well for lunch time.

Here afternoon free to stroll around Gurung village and witness the hill people culture and heritage farm life visiting its interesting Gurung museum along with the views of Annapurna peaks.                   

Morning walk downhill last day of the trek to reach near Modi River at Syali Bazaar then on good path towards Bhirethati unto Nayapul where walk ends for few hour drive back to Pokhara, after a most enjoyable and scenic time of high hills on Poon Hill Himalayan Panorama Trekking.

Morning an overland journey to reach Kathmandu on leaving Pokhara after breakfast, where drive lead on the same interesting highway to reach at Kathmandu and to your hotel, with afternoon free to enjoy your own personal activities.

Last day in Nepal with memorable times and experience on Himalaya, as time for your international flight and then depart from the hotel, where our staff and guide transfers you for your flight homeward bound.

  • Personal Trekking gear and equipment, down or duvet jackets, sleeping bags. (Sleeping bags and down jackets and climbing equipment can be hired in Kathmandu at reasonable cost if it's too much to carry from home)
  • Emergency Evacuation by any means of Transportations and personal medical kit.
  • Early return from the trips or breaking up the journey due to personal / medical reason clients has to bear extra expenses in Kathmandu or on route with related expenses as there will be no refund from the company in such situation.
