Upper Dolpo Jomsom Trek

Upper Dolpa lies at the remote western region of Nepal that preserves the old Tibetan culture and was once considered as the isolated place of Nepal. The rugged landscapes, challenging passes, ancient Buddhist sites, nomadic people of Tibetan background, old historic monasteries, snow leopard, blue sheep are the main attractions providing remindful journey through the Mountain chains including Dhaulagiri, Annapurna and Kanjirowa. Upper Dolpa was first written by David Snelgrove in “Himalayan Pilgrimage” and later on by Peter Matthiessen in “The Snow Leopard’ and the most awaited movie “Caravan” was filmed on this region.

Itinerary:

 Day 01 : Arrivel at Kathmandu
Day 02 :Sightseeing in Kathmandu valley.
Day 03 :Fly from Kathmandu to Nepalgunj
Day 04 :Fly from Nepalgunj to Juphal then trek to Dunai
(2150m) takes about 3-4 hour.
Day 05 :Dunai to Chhepka (2600m) takes about 5-6 hour.
Day 06 :Chhepka to Sumdo (3000m) takes about 3-4 hour.
 Day 07 :Sumdo to Phoksundo lake (3738m) takes about 4 hour.
Day 08 :Reat day ( visit Bonpo monastery).
Day 09 :Phoksundo lake to Bagala hight camp (4921m) takes
takes about 6-7 hour.
Day 10 :Bagala hight camp to Bagala pass (5214m) then down
to Numalaphedi (4800m) takes about 7-8 hour.
Day 11 :Numalaphedi to Numala pass (5238m) then down to
Numala Base Camp (4600m) takes about 7-8 hour.
Day 12 :Numla Base Camp to Dhotarap (3944m) takes about
6-7 hour.
 Day 13 :Dhotarab to Dharo Gumba (4326m) takes about 5-6
Hour.
Day 14 :Dharo Gumba to Charkala pass (5365m) then down to
Chhorkabot (4480m) takes about 7-8 hour.
Day 15 :Chhorkabot to Norbung (4750m) takes about 7-8 hour.
Day 16 :Narbung to Sandaphedi ( 4190m) takes about 7-8 hour.
Day 17 :Sandophedi to Sanda Dada ( 4622m) takes about 4-5
Hour.
Day 18 :Sanda Dada to Phalyak (3175m) takes about 6-7 hour.
Day 19 :Phalyak to Jomsom 3-4 hour.
Day 20 :Fly from Jomsom to Pokhara .
Day 21 :Fly or Drive from Pokhara to Kathmandu.
Day 22 :shoping rest
Day 23 :Departure.

NOTE: The itinerary for this trek is always flexible i.e. the duration of this trek can be both increased and decreased as per the traveller’s schedule and length of the holidays. The Himalayan region of Nepal have unexpected challenges in health and natural conditions so the itinerary might be modified or changed as to fulfill the desires of the clients providing the best security. As the flight schedules on Himalayan region are weather dependent, the time of the flight might be changed according to the weather forecasted.
